New Dog Support

Adopting an adult or adolescent dog can be overwhelming. When you adopt a puppy, you can go to puppy class to learn the ropes. But for adults your main option is obedience training, which can't always help you settle your new dog into your routine, learn to communicate with your dog, or tackle common behavior concerns like leash pulling, fear and anxiety, house training, or too rough play. That's where I come in.

I can help you with:

• Destroying household objects

• Counter surfing

• Potty training

• Too rough play/mouthiness

• Mild fear and anxiety

• Initial management for more severe fear and anxiety, and referring you to appropriate professionals to help

• Getting started on the right foot with your new dog: building safety, security, bond, and communication

• All of the usual cues you learn in obedience class: come, sit, stay, down, and more, customized to just what you and your dog need

We'll work one-on-one for a custom, tailored experience. In person in Richmond, VA or online anywhere in the world.
